Public Private Partnership for Innovation in Education and Training in the MEDA region. ETF in co-operation with ELIG will identify how the private sector (in particular the members of the European Learning Industry Group) cooperates with the MEDA countries and how this contributes to education and training reforms for the labour market. This should contribute to tailor-made advice and services for MEDA countries through public-private partnerships in an international context.
The benefit for the private sector, the ETF as well as the MEDA countries would be to well prepare future interventions in the MEDA countries in particular in view of the Barcelona Process and the free-trade zone 2010. Projects and initiatives shall therefore take into account countries’ needs while offering latest technological solutions. It shall also help to bring demand and supply side together for integrating ICT in education and training reforms. These challenges go from infrastructure issues, languages, cultural specificities to access and quality of education and training.
The European Training Foundation (ETF) is an agency of the European Union. As a centre of expertise, the ETF assists the EU partner countries in developing quality education and training systems and in putting them into practice. ETF is based in Turin, Italy, and is operational since 1994
